To
the wealthiest people:
You
are immensely rich. Consider the billions of other people on the
planet. Some of you give a few crumbs of your fortune to
humanitarian efforts. That's good. It's a nice gesture. In doing
this, you demonstrate a clear conscience. But this changes nothing
and will continue to change nothing. The world will be the same
after you disappear. There will always be the poor, the children
dying of hunger, epidemics and diseases that continue to be
neglected, and your donations will only relieve a few thousand
people at most. A few thousand of 5 billion is not very much! Just a
drop in the ocean. You cannot change the world, but you can help us
create a New World. You can participate in the most incredible
adventure that human beings have ever undertaken: the creation of a
New World of man-made islands in the middle of the ocean. Just a
portion of your wealth could allow sixty young world citizens to
experience a new kind of society.
